University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJKU

University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir was established in 1970 at Muzaffarabad. In this university, various disciplines are established, which are working in the peaceful atmosphere and are providing quality education to the students. AJK University has various campuses and various disciplines are introduced to impart quality education to the students. Azad Kashmir University is getting progress in the administrative and academic domains.

In the earthquake of 2005, various buildings of Azad Kashmir University were damaged in Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot campuses. Now new buildings have been made and these are also equipped with modern and new equipments and facilities, which will help the students to carry out their research work. The Institute of Geology is on the second number in the whole country due to its diverse work and research work at the level of masters and PhD programs.
